Tiered pricing rules can be useful for creating markups, dispensing fees, or custom classes depending on certain criteria such as cost, days supply, and quantity.
To add a tiered pricing rule in PharmaClik Rx:
- Navigate to More > Pharmacy.
- Select the Var. Pricing tab.
- Select the Add button. Result: A new row is added.
- Specify the following:
- TP - Plan—select a TP Plan from the dropdown.
- Custom Class—select a custom class from the dropdown.
- Apply To—Select Markup from the dropdown.
- Check—Select Cost from the dropdown.
- Min and Max—Set these fields to the costs of the prescriptions affected.
- % Cost or % Fee—Specify the markup based on a percentage of drug cost (% Cost) or dispensing fee (% Fee) you want to add.
Example: In the example below, the tiered pricing rule has been set up to change the markup percentage of the dispensing fee depending on the cost of the prescription by a specific percent of the fee.
- If the cost of the prescription is between $0 and $50.99, 5.0% of the fee will be added to cost.
- If the cost of the prescription is between $51.00 and $100.99, 10% of the fee will be added to cost.
- If the cost of the prescription is between $101.00 and $150.99, 15% of the fee will be added to cost.
- When finished, select Save.
